3:33 pm	1 Month Down Already Wow, February already? Hmmm...Valentine's in less than 2 weeks...or "Singles' Awareness Day", lol! Oh well, nothing planned but I might mark the occasion with some artwork on DA. Well let's see in other news, I'm recovering from a pinched lower sciatic nerve...owie, owie, and oh yeah...OWIE! Loads of fun I'm here to say... Things are kinda gettin' back to normal, my roomie's dad passed away late 2007. The man was an incredibly talented artist. It definitely took a massive toll on her, but she seems to be getting on rather well as of late, so I'm grateful for that much. My little Firefly, Stitch is still in mothballs, but running, still scrappin' funds to get him goin'...Although it'd probably be easier to get replace him, but I love my little car, so it's a labor of love, which I have no problem with. I'm back at the artists' guild teaching manga courses again, which rocks as always. I love working with my students, they tend make me forget a lot of my troubles, even if it's for a hours. In better news my friend Effrain, a marine serving in the sandbox, should be home by May...I still worry for him, he's only 20. I can't say I like where he's located right now, but it comes with his job...grrr. Hs mum, and one of my closest fiends EVER, hasn't been dealing with too, either, but she's doing as best as she can. All I can do is try and put a smile on her face whenever I can. Plans for 2008? Back to the gym as of today! Gotta admit, it felt good! Get MORE artwork done! I know I can better than what I am right now. And maybe, just maybe try jumping back on the horse...but that's waaay later on though, still ain't quite trustin' that bronco, I've landed my arse , and face all too often in the attempt, lol! 2:30 am	And In Other News... It's been awhile since i posted anything here. Been kinda busy working on art, dealing with loss, and trying to get my confidence up to something that loosely resembles respectable. Currently I'm working on a short (love) story called "Aki No Yobi" ...Autumn Days" in english, for Pink, a shoujo manga (girl's comic). Which is cool. I'm also teaching a course on manga style-illustration at the local artists' guild, which helps to take my mind off of some of other things. One of my best friends is probably just landing in "the Sandbox" aka Iraq, so I see some grey hairs in my near future. As I'm worried for both him, and his mum, she's been having a hard time of it, can't says I blame her. My roomie, and best friend's father passed away, and while she's doing her best to hold herself together, she's still in need of some heavy duty support, so I'll be giving her that for as long as she needs it. I'm still looking for full time employment as it turns out, which means my little "Firefly", Stitch, is still sitting in mothballs in the backyard. Although I love teaching the manga classes, it's really not enough sink some serious cash into parts and repairs. A windshield and a door window mechanism. So while the "Suck Streak" that started in seems to have no end in sight, I'm still going to be the foolish optimist, I've always been. Lol! No sense in completely collapsing under the weight of all this crap. Hopefully the next post will be a li'l brighter. "Keep 'em flying." Current Mood: ..and kinda crotchity too... 10:26 am	Back From The Beach Just spent a week some friends in Ocean City, and I must say, it wasn't bad at all. The weather was perfect for the whole week. I got to drive Becca's Impreza, couldn't go all out though, her 84 year-old mum was in the car, and her hubby followed us in "the mule" with all our gear for the week. Got the chance to see "Stardust" an excellent movie, but I'm sure it's gonna get overlooked though. Spent a lot of time walking up and down the beach, in the surf, and even got to practice some of my sword forms, yay! Even managed to get a tan in process, lol! Loads of eye candy as well, but hey, it's the beach, lol! I would say the only downsides to it were 1: I coudn't bring all of my art supplies with me to what I really wanted to do, and 2: No one to hangout with when I took my beach walks., oh well! However though I did run into a fellow DA'er and found vol.#15 of the "I's" series! Loves me some Katsura Masakazu! Can't wait for next year, we're gonna rent a bigger beach house in early Sept. In the meantime, I'm off to do some massive house cleaning got a small invasion of people coming in for an rpg weekend. :) Current Mood: awake Current Music: Diamond (by Dana) (Comment on this)

3:00 pm	Writer's Block: By Any Other Name If you could rename yourself in real life, what would you choose, and why?   I'd probably go with  Kenichi, because it's my illustrator's name, because it rocks, and I've been called that for so long now, that I barely respond to my actual name.
